Green Machine was one of the first bands I saw when I moved to Patchogue Village Summer 2015. They don't come out here too often but I try to catch them every time. Love their energy and the music!!
Every Wednesday night down at Bobbiques in Patchogue is a jam, where all talented musicians stop in on any week and you never know who will show up, but it's always an awesome turnout and show! July 5th was mine and David's birthday and it happened to be a Wednesday! Victor Calabro went all out and made a huge strawberry shortcake for us. The Bobby Nathan Summer Jam is always a good time! This past week we had Dan-the-Man, Gene Tunstall, Melissa Goodman, Bob Arndst, Joseph Felicetta, Pamela Betti, Ben Greenspan, John Siriani, too many to name ... and an end of night performance that blew me away when most of the singers and musicians got on stage together. It's always chilling and brings tears to my eyes with such a performance of all different musicians joining in as one big band. I love these jams in Patchogue. Everyone is very friendly and are just there for the music and a social mid-week. Whether you're a regular or just walk in the door, you get your name on the list and you're singing or playing! Never disappointed when the snowbirds (Bobby & Joanne Nathan) come back from Florida for their Summer Jam at Bobbiques. Stop in on any Wednesday! Great music, great people, and great food!
Billboard Live is a one of my top ten favorite bands around Long Island right now. They began about three years ago and I fell in love with them from Day One. John Golden, the lead singer does an awesome Rod Stewart, great dance moves, as well as the Stones "Paint It Black". This band does classic 70's song with a few other surprises added in. We have Steve Stewart on drums, Rodney Tucciarone on guitar, John Davis (known for his awesome braided beard) is on bass, and Brian Connolly on Keyboard (and he also sings an awesome rendition of "Lido"). A must-see band if you haven't already!! Love Billboard Live!
I just love The 60's Invasion! I first saw them at Patchogue's Alive After Five a few years back and was dancing in the streets. I make it a point to see them whenever they're playing out locally. They participate in an annual Fundraiser during the holidays for Stony Brook Children's Hospital. In December 2016 I was the thrilled winner in a raffle for an autographed guitar signed by the band (photo above). They play the best of the 60s songs I grew up with as a little girl that brings me back in time to younger days and great memories. I have become friends with the awesome band members: Steve on guitar, Rick on drums, Victor on bass, John on Keyboard, and singers Joseph, Bob and Janet. Although I cut off the very beginning of a song which I LOVE, here's Joseph Felicetta singing 'Whiter Shade of Pale'. Fred is on keyboards for this rendition. The 60's Invasion. You gotta go see them!!
