FCA’s Biggest Fundraiser Honors Influential Long Islander Leaders
MINEOLA, NEW YORK, October 3, 2017 – Family & Children’s Association (FCA), a leading human services nonprofit on Long Island, is preparing for their biggest annual fundraising event where they will be honoring two well-respected and highly influential leaders who passionately care for Long Island and FCA’s mission. The honorees, Jed Morey, President, Morey Publishing and Dr. Patrick M. O’Shaughnessy, Executive VP for Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer, Catholic Health Services of Long Island, will address FCA supporters and inevitably spread awareness of FCA’s positive impact on Long Island to their network of esteemed professionals and members of the Long Island community, many of which will be in attendance.
FCA President/CEO, Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, said of this year´s honorees, “The positive impact our honorees continue to make on Long Island directly and indirectly align with FCA’s mission and history. Long Island’s growth as a community improves exponentially when individuals like Jed Morey and Dr. O’Shaughnessy, who dedicate their lives to such meaningful work, share their passion with an agency like FCA. An agency that is on the front lines, combating Long Island’s social justice and public health issues. FCA is proud to have such influential honorees at our largest fundraiser of the year and we expect to break last year’s record numbers.”
The 2017 Fall Harvest Celebration will take place at the Tam O’Shanter Country Club where guests will be welcomed into a breathtaking space and greeted to an array of unique auction items with proceeds to benefit FCA’s robust array of programs and services. As many Long Island families continue to struggle with addiction, homelessness, mental health issues, aging parents and poverty, FCA continues to provide easy-access and highly effective programs and services not only to help families but to assure them that they do not have to go about their struggles alone.
